STRAUSS BOURQUE-LAFRANCE was raised in Poland Spring, Maine and currently lives and works in New York. Bourque-LaFrance attended Hampshire College in 2006 and received his MFA from Tyler School of Art in 2010. His work has been shown at various spaces such as the SculptureCenter, the Abron’s Art Center, and the Judson Church of New York. As well as Bodega, ICA, Vox Populi, in Philadelphia, and Arthouse at the Jones Center in Austin. Bourque-LaFrance attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in the summer of 2010 and is currently an Artist in Residence at Movement Research until 2013. This summer his work will be part of a group exhibition, Dead in August organized by site95 at i-20 in Chelsea.
